Nicole Felipe
   French-English translator

Nicole Felipe is a freelance translator and editor based in southeastern France. Born in coastal New England and raised between Boston and Los Angeles, she made the leap across the Atlantic in her early twenties on a whim. For nearly fifteen years now, she has called the historic city of Lyon – where the Rhône and Saône rivers converge – her home. These days, she lives on the outskirts of the city with her partner, their young daughter, three cats and a small flock of backyard chickens.

Specializing in the food, wine and design sectors, as well as the arts, documentary photography, outdoor adventure, ecology and sustainability, Nicole has collaborated with a diverse range of clients. Her translation work includes groundbreaking restaurant guides, literary and lifestyle magazines, contemporary art books and major marketing campaigns. With her sharp eye for detail and knack for capturing linguistic nuances, Nicole ensures that her translations not only preserve the original tone but also resonate naturally with the target audience.
